Traffic offenses include such things as careless driving, reckless driving, speeding, failing to obey traffic devices, and driving under the influence (DUIs).

Do not be fooled by the apparent insignificance of the traffic offenses. Some traffic offenses carry jail time as a possible punishment, and some traffic offenses carry minimum mandatory jail time. It is imperative that you seek assistance in these areas.

DUIs specifically can affect your liberty and economic well-being for years into the future. Penalties may include jail time, fines, vehicle impound, and license revocation. If you have been charged with a DUI, your attorney will advise you how best to address the situation, what options you might have, and what alternate penalties might be available to you.

Note too a DUI may be charged even if alcohol is not involved. Any controlled substance which causes your faculties to be impaired can result in a DUI being charged if you are stopped and are driving under their influence.

In a DUI case, it may be critical to suppress evidence wrongfully taken. This may include breath, blood or urine tests. Just because your blood is taken and a blood alcohol level (BAL) determined, does not mean the results can be used as evidence.

Every case and situation is unique. Your attorney will evaluate your individual situation and advise you how best to proceed regarding these and other issues. Donnelly shall not bear responsibility for any actions taken based upon the above information. Seeking professional help for your legal problems and concerns is imperative.
